I know what it feels like when your body feels out of control. Before I learned how to manage my symptoms, I was exhausted, frustrated, and stuck. I couldn’t lose weight no matter what I tried. My sleep was a mess. I hesitated to make plans because I didn’t know how I’d feel. I pushed through, gritting my teeth and telling myself it was fine—until it wasn’t.
Honestly, my inability to lose weight is what pushed me to find a functional practitioner. I figured something had to be wrong if my body refused to let go of the weight despite everything I was doing. So, in December 2017, I told my family that 2018 was going to be the year of Kim. I was going to figure it out.
I had just gone back to teaching after 13+ years at home, and I remember sitting at my desk, barely able to make it through the day. Something had to change.
Now, my mission is to take the guesswork out of PCOS weight loss so you don’t have to waste years trying to figure it out alone. I want to shout from the rooftops that you can break free from Metabolic Lockdown and finally regain control of your body—without starving yourself, exhausting yourself, or losing hope.
